Six areas
Web apps and sites
ASP.NET, .NET 10, Blazor and Razor, with React, Angular or Vue front ends. Upgrading old .NET Framework applications, and CMS work on Kentico and Optimizely (EPiServer), including multi-version upgrades.
APIs and integrations
REST and Web API design, serverless on AWS Lambda and API Gateway or Azure Functions, and the plumbing in between. Once built a custom image-resizing service on API Gateway, Lambda and S3.
Data and reporting
SQL Server and T-SQL. Designed and built a reporting suite that gave 40+ eCommerce clients views of their data and traffic. Automated a test-data analysis that went from a week to a few hours.
CI/CD and delivery
Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy and TeamCity. Playwright test suites in the pipeline, with visual testing. A monitoring application that warns before servers fail.
Make it faster
Finding the slow part and fixing it. One website went from 3 ppm to 500+ ppm after tuning. Advice on performance for large multi-tenant, multi-language sites.
AI that earns its keep
Claude Code, prompt engineering and automation, set up with tests and tickets around them. I run my own homelab of AI agents and write up what works and what does not, so the advice comes from things I have run.
